About this Product

"Storm at Sunset" is an original ink wash painting by Tina Steele Penn.  Created with watercolor inks , I painted this imaginitive mountain scene to gratify my love of yellow, lavendar, pink, tangerine and a touch of blue.  I love this color combination, it makes me so happy!  I hope you enjoy it as well!

The watercolor inks provide a cool flowey effect and great color vibrancy.

The original painting measures Aprrox. 5 1/4" x 4 1/2" and is shipped affixed to a greeting card for easy gift giving!  It is attached with acid free removable glue or tape for easy framing.

Other sizes are available in print.

Welcome to my shop for all things art and design by Tina Steele Penn.  Here you will find my flights of fancy in concrete form.  Whether watercolor, inkwash, acrylic or oil painting, you will find my expression on paper, canvas, or board.  Also you will find items of jewelry that are also my original designs. Glass beads, wire, and polymer clay ventures.  I am very interested in the Hand Feel of my jewelry.  I like to feel the smoothness and warmth of glass against my clothing and skin.  I also like the textures of textured beads and the polymer clays.

Meet the Maker

To keep an eye on my sister and I, while she painted, our mom would sit us down with her homemade finger paints* to keep us busy while she set up her easel, in her farm kitchen, and painted oils. I was painting in oils by the time I was seven years old. And I have been painting in oils, acrylics, watercolors and drawing six decades hence.  When I was 12 - during the hippie movement with all their beads - we moved to within a mile a bead shop.  A bead shop where you could by beads by the pound!!! Imagine the joy of that creative 12 year old!  From that day forward I have made my own jewelry.

The scent of linseed oil is as much a part of my memories of home as the smell of vegetable soup simmering on the stove, or fresh cornbread baking.

How it’s Made

This is a watercolor ink painting on Watercolor Bond.

It is a small painting - this original piece of artwork. Simply remove the artwork from the card ( it is very gently attached and very easy to remove without damaging the painting!) for framing, or leave on the card and use the card and envelope for a very easy gift idea!
