What is Propolis?
Propolis, often referred to as "bee glue," is a complex, resinous substance collected by honeybees from buds and exudates of certain trees and plants, particularly conifers and some poplars and birches. Bees use it to seal cracks and sanitize their hive, thanks to its potent antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. This natural defense mechanism of the hive, derived directly from the botanical world, is what makes propolis a revered ingredient in natural health practices for its comprehensive wellness benefits.
Cult of Bees Tincture of Propolis is handcrafted at a ratio of 1:5 propolis to alcohol with a maceration period of two months. The result is a rich, deeply colored, and strongly flavored tincture. Taken straight, the tincture opens with the burn of cinnamon and fades to a floral note reminiscent of the hive. It closes with hints of dark chocolate and a unique mouth feel.
