About this Product
I love writing and have MANY pens! It could be considered as a little obession with pens. A few of my pens are a little more 'special' than others and I like to keep them safe and treat them well.
These bamboo pen cases come with either 1 or 2 pens slots to give your special pens a deservedly safe home.
The top of the case can be personalized with wording and design of your choice; I chose a favourite quote of mine by Sylvia Plath, along with some freehand flowers. The wording and designs are burned by hand into the wood using a pyrography tool, then hand painted. The case is sealed with poly spray.
I am open to any custom requests for designs and will happily work with you on ideas for something special.
If you would like to add a name on the inside of the single pen case, there is room for that. (The double pen space case doesn't have quite as much room, but I could squeeze a something small in there).
The bottom of the case is also available for more custom wording: a little message, name, date, love note, quote...
The box is made from bamboo with a hinged side and magnetic closure.

Meet the Maker
Hi, I'm Maxine from BellesHearts, thank you so much for visiting, I hope you find something you love!
Before I began with BellesHearts, I lived in England with my 3 older children, my dogs, cats, goats and chickens. I worked at a local high school as an English Language and Literature teacher - my specialism was working with students with special educational needs and/or social and emotional barriers to learning. These were some of the most amazing and wonderful people I have ever had the privilege of meeting, yet an intense and challenging time. To make a difference, passion, patience, acceptance, tolerance, creative teaching and learning, from both my students and I were paramount.
Then everything changed. I met my husband who lived in PA, we got married and I moved over to the US to live. We have a spirited little boy with whom I spend my days, along with our Goldendoodle, Gracie and our Chiweenie, Floki.
I decided to trade in my creativity in teaching, for creating with my hands. I have always enjoyed working with wood and with fabrics. Inspired and taught by my father - an amazing carpenter, engineer and artist; my mother with her strength and determination and by my maternal grandparents, with their unquestioning belief in me always.
BellesHearts was born and there is nothing I love more, nothing so rewarding as being able to create 'Handmade Memories'; truly unique and special pieces for others to treasure.
How it’s Made
The bamboo cases are sanded until lovely and smooth before I burn your custom wording and design on them. As I do each one to order, you can have any quote and (almost) any design, which I hand paint in colours of your choice.

Exchanges & Returns
BellesHearts does not offer exchanges or returns on any custom made/personalised item unless there is an error made by BellesHearts. If the error is my fault, then I will offer a replacement of the same or a refund as long as the buyer submits a photograph of the error on the product.
