Dzi beads are agate amulet beads with decorative symbols like dots, lines, swirls, and eyes, believed to protect from the "evil eye". While unclear, some believe they originated in India thousands of years ago and brought to Tibet and surrounding countries. They are highly sought after and often passed down for generations. The meaning of the Tibetan word "Dzi" translates to "shine, brightness, clearness, splendor".
Fish Dzi Bead Folklore: It is the symbol of luck, purpose achievement and wish fulfillment.
Garuda Dzi Bead Folklore: This is a huge bird, which Vishnu God rode. In Buddhism this bird is considered to be the enemy of ignorance which eliminates doubt and lie in minds. This bead protects its owner against gossips and rumors, it also protects during traveling. It enhances fame, recognition, and luck; dispels bad luck; protects from danger; banishes evil spirits; and alleviates sickness.
Tian and Di Dzi Bead Folklore: Earth is a square, heaven is a circle. Captures the energy from the heaven and earth, and converts it into continuous moving energy to achieve one's goal. It is believed that the sky and earth Dzi bead will assist its owner in achieving balance and harmony in his life. It'll also help to clear any obstacles which may cause harm to its owner.
I had trouble finding information on the other styles in this group. All I have to go on are the names provided to me when I got them, but I haven't had much luck.

I am the mother of three daughters. I also have four grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls. We all live here & see each other nearly everyday. I am very blessed.

I take my work seriously. I use the best materials and am proud of my creations. I’m in love with color change gemstones and feature them as often as I can. I also love American Gemstones and do some rock hounding myself.

How it’s Made
I acquired these beads from a Buddhist Temple in Thailand through a business contact. I’m fortunate to have acquired them about 15 years ago.
