This sun catcher / wind chime will twinkle for you with the slightest sunlight, and send out the soft tinkling sound of glass with a light breeze.
The center of the star is a white glass nugget, surrounded with decorative solder and cobalt blue and white swirled, textured glass points.
Blue, clear, and white glass beads decorate the nylon coated stainless steel wire which suspends the chimes.
The chimes themselves are textured, clear, iridized glass and cobalt swirls.
A soft breeze across the beaded wires will produce a soothing tinkling wind song.
The star is 7" across. The entire wind chime is 26" in length.
Each piece of glass is hand cut and the edges are softened .
A metal ring is attached to a beaded hanging wire to make display easy.
This can be hung inside or out for a delightful decoration and wind song.
This chime has NO monofilament . Every piece uses nylon coated jewelers wire, so no need to worry about any filament drying out and breaking.

I am married with two grown children and four wonderful grandchildren. My husband and myself live in Delaware, surrounded by chicken and vegetable farms. It’s a quiet, laid back lifestyle which fits our golden years nicely.
Stained glass is a hobby I had gotten into about 30 years ago. Now that I’m retired, children are on their own, and husband is busy with his own hobbies, I can devote more of my time to it.
Looking at sheets of glass and imagining what it can be turned into, then making it happen, is what gives me the most joy. Over the years I have designed and installed many windows for family and friends. Now most of my glasswork is sun catchers and small panels, though I enjoy making the occasional custom stained glass window.

How it’s Made
Blue and white swirled glass was chosen to make the star. The five points were hand cut by me, then cut to fit around the large glass nugget. All the pieces were then cleaned and foiled with copper foil. After soldering the star together, three loops were soldered across the bottom, and one on the top point.
Six pieces of blue swirled glass and four pieces of textured clear iridized glass were cut into star point shapes , holes were drilled through the pieces, and jewelers wire was threaded through the holes, beaded, crimped, and repeated until all the chimes were finished.
A beaded jewelers wire was attached to the top of the star along with a metal ring so the wind chime is ready to hang.
NO monofilament is used in the making of this chime.

The item you purchased will be packaged with care to avoid any breakage. However, things happen. Sometimes the carriers are not as careful as we'd like them to be. In the event your item arrives damaged, please contact me immediately. I will want to see a photo of the damaged item, and I will refund, or ask you to return it depending on what we determine/discuss.
