A glass feather is a symbol of the beauty and elegance that nature has to offer. A crystal suspended from the feather shaft adds extra sparkle in the sunlight.

I am married with two grown children and four wonderful grandchildren. My husband and myself live in Delaware, surrounded by chicken and vegetable farms. It’s a quiet, laid back lifestyle which fits our golden years nicely.
Stained glass is a hobby I had gotten into about 30 years ago. Now that I’m retired, children are on their own, and husband is busy with his own hobbies, I can devote more of my time to it.
Looking at sheets of glass and imagining what it can be turned into, then making it happen, is what gives me the most joy. Over the years I have designed and installed many windows for family and friends. Now most of my glasswork is sun catchers and small panels, though I enjoy making the occasional custom stained glass window.

How it’s Made
I chose several different textures of clear glass for this feather. Each piece was then individually cut according to my pattern. The pieces are then ground so no sharp shards, copper foiled, then arranged and soldered together. A crystal is attached to a chain, then the chain soldered to the feather shaft. A good scrub, a waxing, a brisk buffing, and the feather is ready for someone to enjoy. A blue satin ribbon is attached so it is ready to hang.
When your feather eventually needs to be cleaned, a quick wash with soap and water, and you're all set to enjoy the sparkle again. Do NOT use any cleaner with ammonia.

Please note that I believe strongly in recycling packaging when at all possible. Your item may arrive in new, or clean and reused bubble wrap and/or boxes.
The item you purchased will be packaged with care to avoid any breakage. However, things happen. Sometimes the carriers are not as careful as we'd like them to be. In the event your item arrives damaged, please contact me immediately. I will want to see a photo of the damaged item, and I will refund, or ask you to return it depending on what we determine/discuss.
