This is a one of a kind wind chime. It sparkles with 6 pieces of cobalt blue stained glass, 6 pieces of clear textured glass, sparkling glass beads, 1 large clear glass prism, There is lots of "bling" on this wind chime.
The hanger piece itself is a black metal flower design with a black metal chain attached for hanging.
Nylon coated jewelers wire suspend glass beads and pieces of hand cut stained glass which tap against each other making a soft, musical sound.
Each piece of glass will catch the light and send rainbows dancing.
This wind chime sun catcher is certain to bring light and music to everyone. It can be hung inside or out; under a porch roof, hanging from a tree branch, suspended inside a doorway, in front of a window, or any area sheltered from extreme winds.
Length of the chime is approximately 13". The black hanging chain is an additional 5".
The glass pieces are hand cut by me, the edges are ground so they are not sharp, and then I drill the holes to suspend the glass and beads for your enjoyment.
This chime has NO monofilament . Every piece uses nylon coated jewelers wire, so no need to worry about any filament drying out and breaking.

I am married with two grown children and four wonderful grandchildren. My husband and myself live in Delaware, surrounded by chicken and vegetable farms. It’s a quiet, laid back lifestyle which fits our golden years nicely.
Stained glass is a hobby I had gotten into about 30 years ago. Now that I’m retired, children are on their own, and husband is busy with his own hobbies, I can devote more of my time to it.
Looking at sheets of glass and imagining what it can be turned into, then making it happen, is what gives me the most joy. Over the years I have designed and installed many windows for family and friends. Now most of my glasswork is sun catchers and small panels, though I enjoy making the occasional custom stained glass window.

How it’s Made
Cobalt blue glass and clear textured glass were chosen for this chime. Three strips of clear and three strips of cobalt were hand cut, then three triangular pieces of each color were cut. Next, I carefully drilled a small hole in each of the twelve pieces of glass so a jewelers wire could be inserted. Then when I was done drilling, the glass pieces were ground so no sharp edges. Blue and clear glass beads were picked out from my stash of beads, and the glass and beads were strung, crimped with small metal crimps, and the wire strung through the black metal cap. Last, a large chandelier glass piece was strung and placed in the center to catch the wind so the glass will gently tap against each other and create the beautiful sound only glass can make.

Please note that I believe strongly in recycling packaging when at all possible. Your item may arrive in new, or clean and reused bubble wrap and/or boxes.
The item you purchased will be packaged with care to avoid any breakage. However, things happen. Sometimes the carriers are not as careful as we'd like them to be. In the event your item arrives damaged, please contact me immediately. I will want to see a photo of the damaged item, and I will refund, or ask you to return it depending on what we determine/discuss.
