These earrings are made of hand carved, antique Chinese gaming chips made of Mother of Pearl with a variety of accents. Similar gaming chip jewelry is available in my shop. Contact me for custom pieces. I have many interesting gaming chips to make into beautiful jewelry.
1. Mother of pearl accent bead, 54 x 15 mm chip, 3 1/4" in total length, sterling silver
2. Burma jade, 45 x 16 mm chip, 3 1/4" in total length, sterling silver

Gaming chips were a popular commodity in 17th and 18th century Europe, where card games were a common source of entertainment for the wealthy and elite. They were first brought over during the last dynasty of Imperial China alongside porcelain tableware, both customized with monograms and family crests. Other designs include scenes from Chinese poetry or philosophy, flowers, animals, and views into everyday or family life. Carved fish were among the most popular shape as a sign of good luck. The exquisite detail and craftsmanship of the carvers in Canton still shine hundreds of years later.

I am the mother of three daughters. I also have four grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls. We all live here & see each other nearly everyday. I am very blessed.
I have been an artist all my life. I have painted in watercolor for over 40 yrs. I have been a paper maker for 16 yrs. Look in my shop sections for Fine Art and Handmade Paper. I have been a jewelry artist for 12 yrs.
I take my work seriously. I use the best materials and am proud of my creations. I’m in love with color change gemstones and feature them as often as I can. I also love American Gemstones and do some rock hounding myself.

- Ship items back within: 7 days of delivery
- Request a cancellation: as soon as possible, before the order has shipped.
