This quilt shows an example of what Old T-shirts can look like when they are put into a quilt. The display photo is a queen size quilt. The customer had me make it for her husband as an anniversary gift with a photo of him sitting on his Harley, added that special touch to personalize it.
Quilts can be made in a variety of sizes and colors.

Meet the Maker
Hi and thank you for visiting my shop. I am Constance and I specialize in preserving your cherished moments with memory quilts and pillows that are stylish and complement your home decor. I started making photo memory quilts while caring for my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Seeing the joy and comfort that a quilt brought to her inspired me to create these cherished treasures for others. My photo quilts and pillows are made with fade-resistant ink and quality materials. They are available in a variety of sizes. They make wonderful gifts for everyone.

How it’s Made
Once the t-shirts and photos are received, the t-shirts are cut and interfacing is fused to the backside of the t-shirt square. The interfacing is applied prevent the fabric from stretching and distorting the shape. Once the process of fusing is complete, the squares are cut to size. The Photo is printed onto photo fabric and then it’s treated to prevent color bleeding and fading. The pictures are pressed and cut to size. The t-shirt squares and photos are laid out to determine the best position of squares according to the different colors of the shirts and the size of logos so that the arrangement is pleasing to the eye. Now they are ready to be assembled. The t-shirt squares and the pictures are sewn together to make the quilt top. All quilts are made of three layers. The middle layer is cotton batting and the bottom layer is made with cotton quilt fabric or with fleece. The 3 layers are “sandwiched” together using basting spray or safety pins to prevent the shifting of any layers while sewing/quilting the 3 layers together. After the basting is done, then binding is sewn around the edges to give that finishing touch.
