Amazonite is a green type of feldspar named for the Amazon River and the jungle surrounding it, though there are no amazonite deposits in the area. Colors can range from forest green, light and blue-green, to green with a grey cast. It is fairly soft and fragile, and is often cut into beads, carvings, and cabochons for that reason.

Angelite is blue anhydrite, a mineral that, when exposed to water, turns to gypsum. Gypsum has many industrial uses, but a fine quality gypsum is called alabaster, commonly used for sculptures worldwide for millennia.

Pearls are one of the most beloved gems, used for millennia in jewelry and decoration, and are the only gems grown inside a living organism. The first recorded mention of pearls is 7,500 years old. They are one of a few organic gemstones, including ivory, amber, and coral.

Pearls are one of the birthstones of June, along with color-changing alexandrite, and moonstone. It is also the 3rd and 30th wedding anniversary gem.

Peridot is gem-quality olivine and is one of a few gemstones to come in only one color: green. It can range from a lime or spring green to a dark olive or brownish green. It's one of the oldest known gems, with records of it dating back to 1500 BC, as well as being mentioned in the Bible. The Romans nicknamed it "emerald of the evening" for its radiant glow in low light. Peridot is made deep in the mantle of the earth, forming in magma and brought to the surface by volcanic and tectonic activity. For that reason, it was the symbol for the tears of Pele, the goddess of volcanoes and fire in Hawaii. But its origin doesn't lie solely with the earth: peridot has been found in meteors, on the moon and Mars.

Peridot is the birthstone of August. It is also associated with the planet Saturn.

Queen Conch is a large west Atlantic sea snail that has a 6-12 inch shell that primarily has a pale pink inside, but can also have cream, peachy, yellow to nearly red colors. The shells have been used for decoration, tools, and horns for a few hundred years.

Turquoise is a very well-known stone, having been used for ornamental uses for millennia around the world, like North America, China, India, and the Middle East. Natural stones are most commonly known in blue hues, but greens are found just as often. Though dyed stones and imitations like magnesite and howlite are now everywhere, nothing beats a beautiful, natural turquoise.

Turquoise is one of the birthstones of December, joining tanzanite and blue zircon.
