Meet the Maker

Hi and thank you for visiting my shop.  I am Constance and I specialize in preserving your cherished moments with memory quilts and pillows that are stylish and complement your home decor. I started making photo memory quilts while caring for my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Seeing the joy and comfort that a quilt brought to her inspired me to create these cherished treasures for others. My photo quilts and pillows are made with fade-resistant ink and quality materials. They are available in a variety of sizes. They make wonderful gifts for everyone.

Please contact me before ordering and I will create a cherished quilt of memories for you.

How it’s Made

Once your photos are received we print them with fade-resistant ink onto photo fabric. The fabric is then treated to help prevent color bleeding and fading. Then pressed and cut to size, ready to be sewn to the fabric. But first the photos are laid out to determine the best placements that are pleasing to the eye. Then the fabric and photos are sewn together to make the quilt top. A quilt has 3 layers to it. The backing of the quilt, which is made of cotton quilting fabric and is the bottom layer. It is sewn to size, and the middle layer is a cotton batting. The three layers are then “sandwiched” together and held together with safety pins or basting spray so that the layers do not shift as you sew them together. After the layers are sewn together, the binding is attached to give it that finished look.
