Carved Seder Plate, 11 inch, Choice of Wood Species and finish

A Seder plate is the centerpiece of your Passover table. At 11" diameter, the Seder plate is at home on any table. We have field tested it at our own Seder, and it works beautifully. The glass bowls are included. They are a common size and replaceable if one should ever break. The bowls are new, unused, and both kosher for Passover and parve. I make the 11" Seder plate in either Maple or Cherry, which complement most dining rooms. If you want a different material, please contact me. I desire is to make you something that pleases you for years. The photos are representative. Every piece of wood is different, with it's own grain structure and identity. I do not stock finished Seder plates, so this will be make just for you. If you have a large table, you might be interested in the 15" version of the design. It is bigger, and thicker, and heavier. It also allows more space for customizations. I've made versions with the initials of the spouses in the middle. I've also made a version of the large plate with a paisley design carved into the wood. To simplify my listings, I'm also offering two popular finishing options. The first adds contrast to the seder plate. Typically done with the maple version, I go use a masking process to selectively stain the Magen David a dark color, such as dark walnut. I then finish the entire plate with polyurethane. The dark Magen David stands out. The second copion adds punches up the sparkle with gold leaf on the central "Pesach". All that glitters is not gold, but this is. This Seder plate is a traditional design.
