This lovely, full length, empire style dress has an old world charm with modern comfort and fit. Elastic casings at the arms, shoulders, and under the bust comfortably snug the body for gentle, perfect fit. A-line skirt flares out from underbust casing. This magical, seasonal cotton print shows succulent harvest pumpkins, berries, vines against a backdrop of soft oatmeal and buckwheat hues. Coordinating ruffle and underbust casing are made from a woven russet colored tweedy wool. Lovely worn on its own, or layered with an undershirt, or corset or vest, tights, etc. My empire dresses are comfortable, lovely, and complement every body type. Oh! And did I mention it has pockets?!! They are sveltely hidden in the side seams.

Length from underbust casing to bottom edge of ruffle is 47", but I do include a free hem with your purchase, so if you'd like it shortened, please just message me.

Meet the Maker
Hi, my name is Trinity. I have been a professional tailor and dressmaker for almost 30 years now. I originally learned basic sewing from my mother, and kept designing and sewing all through my teenage years. At 19, I began working in the fur and leather aspect of the industry, creating and altering buckskin and various other leather and fur jackets and clothing. As time went on, I worked in a lot of different sewing settings, from factory line sewing to a mens tailoring shop, all the while continuing to create my own clothing and dress designs and selling them at faires, markets, and eventually online when the internet came along. These days I have my own sewing and alterations shop located in beautiful Sonoma County, Ca., where I alter customers clothing as well as offer my creations for sale.
In my spare time (Ha!) I also enjoy hiking, foraging for wild mushrooms and berries, classic car restoration, mermaid swimming, and battling the stranglehold of capitalism.

How it’s Made
The cotton print used for this dress is a Susan Winget design~ The motifs are clear, vibrant, and evoke all the magical feelings of harvest time in the pumpkin patch.
The woven wool tweed was a piece ive had in my carefully kept stash for several years now, awaiting the right project. I actually think the wool was the perfect choice for this dress, it has strong correlations with old world clothing and material types, as well as autumn vibes. This is premium, perfect wool tweed, and im sure would cost atleast twenty five per yard if purchased new. Im not interested in trying to upcharge for that, but im just happy to be able to source quality materials from sometimes unconventional places to create my magical handmade dresses.
Shop Policies
Due to the unfortunate frequency of online return scams, Aquariuz has a mostly no refunds/returns policy. In the event that there is a flaw with a garment, or the wrong size has been sent to you, then Aquariuz will provide a refund upon the return of the item, but please note that detailed and accurate sizing information is provided in the listing description for each item. It is the buyers responsibility to be certain of their own sizing and make sensible comparisons to the size and measurement information I provide. Aquariuz will not provide refunds for garments that are the correct size but dont meet the buyers expectations.
Additionally, Aquariuz will not provide a refund/return for any garment which has been worn or altered in any way. Please understand that I am a small business, not a large corporation.
