Soft natural cotton and linen dress is made from a woodlands themed print which features all the nice forest animals, such as deer, rabbits, foxes, owls, and more, in soft earthy tones on a background of cream white.
Fitted bodice cinches in back with a tied sash, and flows out into a gathered a-line skirt with a ruffle. The straps, sash, and ruffle are made from a coordinating softly striped linen. Dress has a back center zipper closure with a hook and eye. Bodice is fully lined in soft, breathable linen.
Soft delicate lace, hand cut rustic oak buttons, and handstitching details add to the fairie charm of this beautiful, feminine, handmade dress. This would be lovely day wear in any kind of natural or country setting, or worn to a dance or other special occasion, or could even be an earthy wedding dress.

waist from 25" to 28"
Length from waist seam to finished bottom edge of ruffle is 45 inches, but I do include a free hem with purchase, so please just message me if you would like it shortened.

Meet the Maker
Hi, my name is Trinity. I have been a professional tailor and dressmaker for almost 30 years now. I originally learned basic sewing from my mother, and kept designing and sewing all through my teenage years. At 19, I began working in the fur and leather aspect of the industry, creating and altering buckskin and various other leather and fur jackets and clothing. As time went on, I worked in a lot of different sewing settings, from factory line sewing to a mens tailoring shop, all the while continuing to create my own clothing and dress designs and selling them at faires, markets, and eventually online when the internet came along. These days I have my own sewing and alterations shop located in beautiful Sonoma County, Ca., where I alter customers clothing as well as offer my creations for sale.
In my spare time (Ha!) I also enjoy hiking, foraging for wild mushrooms and berries, classic car restoration, mermaid swimming, and battling the stranglehold of capitalism.

How it’s Made
One of the keys to getting the lace trim spaced evenly on the sweetheart neckline of the front bodice was to start applying the lace at the center groove of the 'heart' and work my way out towards the side seams. If you look closely at the pictures you can see that I applied the lace trim using hand-stitching in order to give the lace trim the correct amount of spacing and ease to lay flat. But I love the homespun look of hand stitching, so I also incorporated it into the front patch pockets and the lace trimmed waistband stitching.
It was a serendipitous designing moment when I realized that the striped linen I had leftover from making my husband's summer suit last year actually coordinated perfectly with this gorgeous cotton print! Even the terra cotta red in the stripe matches the fox! I had purchased the linen from Stone Mountain & Daughters in Berkeley, Ca. They are a very responsible small business in that they sustainably source all their fabrics and dont peddle any corporate made goods, so I always feel good about any materials I get there, as well as theyre a bit rare.
Im also proud of my buttons. I hand cut and lightly sanded and drilled each one. They are perfectly rustic.

In the event that there is a flaw with a garment, or the wrong size has been sent to you, then Aquariuz will provide a refund upon the return of the item, but please note that detailed and accurate sizing information is provided in the listing description for each item. It is the buyers responsibility to be certain of their own sizing and make sensible comparisons to the size and measurement information I provide. Aquariuz will not provide refunds for garments that are the correct size but dont meet the buyers expectations.
Additionally, Aquariuz will not provide a refund/return for any garment which has been worn or altered in any way. Please understand that I am a small business, not a large corporation.
