About this Product
This ceramic dish is a version of the traditional Japanese sesame grinder-- the Gomasuri bowl. This dish is used to grate garlic and ginger. The cloves are moved back and forth across the central outcroppings. In addition, herb stems can be pulled through the perforations on the side as a way to strip off the leaves. It is a handy, time saving, but also pretty, kitchen utensil.
The dish is thrown, glazed, stoneware. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. The glazes are food safe.
